Two men and one bench
In 1999, Jitendra Jain and his uncle Narpat Mehta opened a single manufacturing workshop in Mumbai. Neither had come up through the gold trade. What they had was a read on what retail jewellers were not getting from their existing suppliers: consistency, and a straight answer on delivery.
Jitendra runs the floor as Managing Director today. The bet the two of them made — specialise narrowly in Calcutta-style goldwork, and be the supplier that does not need chasing — is still the whole strategy 27 years later.

The workshop opens

The first major retail client places a standing order, moving the workshop from job work to sustained production runs.
Facility expanded
Floor space and workforce grow to take on multi-brand volumes across Maharashtra and neighbouring states.

The same piece, the same finish, the same gold weight, order after order — and a delivery date we hold to. A retailer's own name goes on everything that leaves this floor, which is the only quality standard that has ever mattered here.
Where we're going
More capacity without losing the hand-work that makes Calcutta-style what it is. That means CAD and casting on one side, and bench artisans we keep for decades on the other — plus the systems to run both at volume as the second generation takes over.
